Non Diabetic Hypoglycemia

Hypoglycemia is a medical problem in which the blood glucose level is lower than the normal levels. There can be a number of reasons for this problem but the biggest dangerous associated with this is that if the glucose supply to the brain is effected, which is going to happen eventually if not taken care of; the brain will suffer severe damage & the result will be various disorders of the body or in extreme cases instant death. Non diabetic hypoglycemia is a type of hypoglycemia which occurs even though the patient Is not suffering from diabetes. Due to the low glucose level supply to the different cells & organs of the body you are not able to perform even routinely functions & are easily exhausted as there is no energy packets available. There are two types of it, one is known as fasting hypoglycemia & the other is reactive hypoglycemia. The former takes place after eight hours without food & in some cases this duration can be longer, the latter commonly tales place after two to four hours after the consumption of a meal. The causes of non diabetic hypoglycemia are listed below:
In some rare cases the causes can be hard to identify. Headaches, fainting, seizures, irritability, continuous tiredness, vision problems, dizziness & unusual sweating are some of the major symptoms of the disease. The treatment for non diabetic hypoglycemia is to increase a regulated amount of the intake of foods that are rich in carbohydrates. If the person is not able to take it through natural sources glucose is given via IV infusions. Mostly the treatment depends on the cause of the disease. |
